- Director of Maintenance: The Cole County R-I School District in Russellville, MO, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Director of Maintenance to oversee the physical operation, safety, and long-term upkeep of our campus facilities and grounds. In this vital leadership role, you will manage daily workflows, establish comprehensive preventative maintenance programs, troubleshoot HVAC and facility systems, and guide our hardworking team to ensure a secure, clean, and welcoming environment for our students and staff. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on technical expertise, experience in school facilities management, a firm grasp of safety regulations, and the organizational skill needed to navigate budgets and vendor contracts. - Substitute Cook - The Cole County R-I School District is accepting applications for substitute cooks. Daily hours are from 6:30am-1:30pm and will be on a part-time/as-needed basis. Hourly compensation begins at $15 per hour.
Daily tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Breakfast and lunch meal prep
- Serving students and staff according to established recipes and portion control standards
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining environment according to food safety and sanitation guidelines
This can be a physically demanding role, requiring prolonged walking and standing, and the ability to lift and carry 20 pounds or more.

Jr/Sr High School Vacancies

- Junior High/High School Counselor (Anticipated): The Cole R-I School District is anticipating an opening for a Junior High/High School Counselor position to provide a comprehensive counseling program focused on the academic, personal, social, emotional, and career/vocational needs of all students in grades 7-12. Successful candidates will be responsible for facilitating individual and small-group counseling, delivering classroom counseling lessons, providing crisis intervention, offering academic advising, and acting as a liaison between families and staff. This is a full-time, nine-month position beginning in August 2026. Coaching opportunities are also available.
- Head Girls Basketball Coach: The Cole County R-I School District is seeking a head girls basketball coach. - Head Junior High Volleyball Coach: The Cole County R-I School District is seeking a head junior high volleyball coach. - Substitute Teacher: To be qualified, you must have 36 college credit hours or a high school diploma and 20 hours of DESE training. Visit DESE's website to learn more about the Checklist for Substitute Teachers. Substitutes for our district are compensated $100 per school day.
